Wise men, since the beginning of time, have been telling us that all we achieve, or fail to achieve, is the direct result of how we think–about our abilities, our courage, and our potential.
James Allen told us that good thoughts bear good fruit, bad thoughts bad fruits.
That wise old Roman Marcus Aurelius told us that our life is what our thoughts make it. Good or bad. Miserable or joyous. Triumphant or hopeless.
Buddha said it even more forcefully, “All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think, we become.”
A Better Way to Live – Rule #5
“Build this day on a foundation of pleasant thoughts. Never fret at any imperfections that you fear may imede your progress. Remind yourself, as often as necessary, that you are a creature of God and have the power to achieve any dream by lifting up your thoughts. You can fly when you decide that you can. Never consider defeat again. Let the vision in your heart be in your life’s blueprint. Smile!”
No matter what you choose to call it, positive thoughts produce, negative thoughts hamper and destroy.
If you believe those very wise men, then you know that if you put yourself and your talents down, you are doomed to failure. If you dsparage your ability or your background or your knowledge, the world will quickly go along with your evaluation, and you will face a sorry future that you don’t deserve. Enough! No more negatives, in your thinking or your actions. Hear me out, You just don’t know how good you are! Yes, you!
