3 Tips To Be Positive

Be PositiveThere is so much negativity in the world, which makes it difficult to escape to be positive. It definitely takes a completely different mindset and attitude to face the negative things around us.

Being positive is so out of the “norm” in today’s society that others wonder what could be so good going on in one’s life. What they don’t understand is that things aren’t necessarily good or bad…that person is just genuinely positive.

Since I started down the road to change my attitude and frame of mind several months ago there are three things that helped me along the way.

These are just three of several things that I’m doing to be and remain positive. Changing my attitude and frame of mind have completely changed my life for the better and am a much happier person!

  1. Remove Yourself Negative Things and People. One of the first things you NEED to do is remove the blatantly negative things in your life. It could be the people you surround yourself with or it could be watching the news…whatever it is, get rid of it and start doing positive things. Watch wholesome television, read a good book, and develop your mind!
  2. Fake It. When I started to change my state of mind, I literally had to fake being happy and positive. After a while an amazing thing happened, it started to become real! I went from being nicknamed “Ehor” at work to “Ned Flanders” and “Mr. Positive.” People will take notice and you will attract success!
  3. Change Your Mindset. A total and complete change a mindset is required…a retraining of your pre-frontal cortex if you will. There are certain things that you can do to make this happen. Being genuinely positive isn’t going to happen over time and takes a lot of diligent work. But in order for things to truly change, you need to change. Until you make that decision for yourself things will remain the same. Self-motivation is the best motivation.
