How Committed Are You?

How committed are you?Look in the mirror and ask yourself, “How committed are you?”

Hopefully we go through life striving to be a better person. We make decisions to improve our health, to be happier, to be a better husband or wife, a better father or mother…

…or we’re striving to be more grateful, make more money, serve more people and give to those in need.

Whatever you set out to do, let me ask the question again, how committed are you?

Are you following through with your commitments? Are you keep your word to yourself and others? In the following video I expound on this a little further and give an accountability report of my commitments:

4 Tips To Help You Stay Committed On Your Goals

1. BURNING DESIRE – In his book, Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill said it best:

“The starting point of all achievement is desire. Keep this constantly in mind. Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire makes a small amount of heat.”

You need to want. You need to have the attitude, “I’m going to do whatever it takes to achieve my goals!”

2. REVIEW & ACCOUNTABILITY – Review your goals and commitments often. For me personally, it’s almost daily that I look over my goals, but give a more intense review on a weekly basis.

Get an accountability partner. Whether that’s a spouse or partner, a friend or co-worker, or in my case – cyberspace! In the above video I give my personal accountability report with the world!

3. MAKE A PLAN – Jim Rohn said, “Plan the day or the day will plan you.” Planning out your day – on paper – sets in motion Universal Laws that will help you accomplish your desires, goals, and commitments. I recommend, planning out your day the night before.

4. SACRIFICE BRINGS BLESSINGS – A sign of someone who’s truly committed is that they sacrifice things that don’t matter, or don’t help the to achieve their goals.

It may be not watching your favorite t.v. show every week or going out to eat at McDonalds. Or in my case, not drinking Mountain Dew. How committed are you?
