It comes from the book The Greatest Salesman in the World, which happens to be one of the first personal development books I read…
…and most likely it was the most transformational.
Throughout the years it kind of has been my mantra and my fall to book when things have been tough.
Persistence was the topic of discussion on today’s morning mindset call. Absolutely amazing stories were given about some individuals who have persistence form 10 plus years when they finally reached success! I talk a little more about that in the video below:
Here’s a few of my favorite quotes about persistence from the books The Greatest Salesman in the World and Think and Grow Rich…
“Those who can “take it” are bountifully rewarded for their persistence. They receive, as their compensation, whatever goal they are pursuing. That is not all! They receive something infinitely more important than material compensation – the knowledge that “every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent advantage.” – TaGR
“I will persist until I succeed.
“I will never consider defeat and I will remove from my vocabular such words and phrases as quit, cannon, unable, impossible, out of the question, improbably, failure, unworkable, hopeless, and retreat; for they are the words of fools.” -GSitW
After much searching, I finally found the acceptance speech of Matthew McConaughey during the Oscars 2014 that was very inspiring…
