It Must Be Monday

Believe it or not…I’m not always Mr. Positive. In fact, when I first DESIRED to CHANGE my attitude I had to “fake it until I made it.” Meaning, there were times when I had to force myself to be happy and to appear to have a positive attitude. In fact, I would make it a point to smile at least five minutes out of my day, usually on my way to the j.o.b.

As I did this day in and day out, you know what I found? You can probably take a guess, I started FEELING more happy. I actually was in a more positive attitude. I was smiling a lot more throughout the day. Others also took notice and started asking me for advice on how to stay positive! Me!

I have interacted with a lot of people today and this is how the beginning of the coversation went down:

Evan: Hello! How are you doing today?
Mr. X: Okay. It’s Monday. How are you?
Evan: Fantastic! I’m doing so good!
Mr. X: Wow! Great attitude!

That’s how most of the conversations started, and I started thinking about their answer: It’s Monday. What does that even mean? I can take a wild guess because seven months ago that was my answer. Usually, Monday is the beginning of the work week and most people don’t like their j.o.b. and dread going in to work.

It’s probably the same reason why the acronym TGIF was created – Thank God It’s Friday – because it’s the weekend and we all get a break from work! Makes sense. I believe an attitdue adjustment is needed because I no longer dread Mondays. In fact, I look forward to them! THANK GOD IT’S MONDAY (TGIM-See video below).

It seriously is all a frame of mind.

Remember, only YOU have the CHOICE to make it a GREAT day!
