For the past couple of weeks I’ve been reading the book, “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace D. Wattles and chapter seven discusses the Law of Gratitude.
Like the title of the book says, there is an exact science to get rich. Science is based on universal laws that if understood and applied will give the same results to all who utilize it!. The Law of Gratitude is once such law…and probably one of the most important.
As I was looking some stuff up on the Internet for this post, I found this quote:
“What if you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday?”
Definitely something to think about, and if true, our prayers to thanking God for ALL that we have would take a lot more time…wouldn’t you agree?
In order to apply the Law of Gratitude Wallace D. Wattles outlines a few steps to maximize results! “First, you believe that there is one Intelligent Substance, from which all things proceed, second, you believe that this Substance gives you everything you desire, and third, you relate yourself to it by a feeling of deep and profound gratitude.”
He continues…”The more gratefully we fix our minds on the Supreme when good things come to us, the more good things we will receive, and the more rapidly they will come, and the reason simply is that the mental attitude of gratitude draws the mind closer touch with the source from which the blessings come.”
As you apply the Law of Gratitude in your life, you will find that faith will be born and start to grow. Always being thankful you start to expect good things, and from those expectations come faith. Mr. Wattles says, “The reaction of gratitude upon one’s own mind produces faith, and every outgoing wave of grateful thanksgiving increases faith. He who has no feeling of gratitude cannot long retain a living faith, and without a living faith you cannot get rich by the creative method…
“…it is necessary, then to cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously.”
The Law of Gratitude is an easy law to obey…and why not? What harm can be done from becoming more thankful for the good things our lives? I challenge you to start a specific list of the things you are thankful for and express that gratitude to the Supreme Being and YOU WILL be blessed and added upon.
