Zig Ziglar said, “Every choice you make has an end result.” Seems simple and common sense and maybe…yah, duh! But if everyone stopped and thought through the power of choice they could essentially choose their end result!
To be honest, I haven’t read, listened, or viewed a lot of Stephen R. Covey’s work. In fact, I haven’t been able to finish his best selling book of “7 Habits of Highly Effective People.” I’m sure one of the habits include finishing what you start (I’m still working on that).
With the recent death of this obvious brilliant man made me seek him out a little more and started watching clips of him on YouTube and wonder why I’ve never followed him more before? Like an artists work becomes more valuable when he passes on, Mr. Covey’s work is becoming more valuable in mine.
Below is a great video on the power of choice by Stephen R. Covey and implore you to take less than five minutes of your life and CHOOSE to watch it. The end result may be surprising to you and may motivate you in a way never thought before…
We have the power of choice in any situation that comes our way. If things don’t go our way, we can choose to put up a big fuss about it, scream and moan, or we can accept it as it is, make a mental note and keep moving forward! Our right to choose, and the weighing forces between good and evil, is what sets us apart from every other intelligent life.
