I find it amazing how the Universe aligns with how I’m feeling most days…
…Never Give Up for example; the other day I was feeling a little down on myself…a little discouraged.
Why? I thought I would be in a much better financial situation by now…
…ya know, making $10k a month or more from home.
These feelings all came about when I was on a webinar with a group of five masters of Internet marketing, whom, combined together make hundreds of thousands of dollars a month from home on the Internet. So this is supposed to be a learning experience, to pick their brains, and implement things that they’re doing that I’m not…
…success leaves clues right? You wouldn’t take advice of someone in bankruptcy…you’d take advice from someone swimming in wealth and prosperity. Well, the discouragement came when these group of five guys making it sound it was SO EASY, so simple…
…I quote, “Make a video, make $20,000!” “Send out an email, get signups.” Etcetera…etcetera.
So in walks my sweet loving wife, and I share with her my feelings (not something I do often mind you). I just wanted to “vent” a little I guess and afterward she kind of sighed, and said, “Maybe we should re-evaluate what we’re doing…”
I cut her off, kinda snapped at her and said, “I AM NOT GIVING UP! EVER! I have put too much energy into this and am not going to quit!” Like the frog in the picture, when the world of discouragement is trying to devour me, I will block it at the throat!
I WILL PERSIST UNTIL I SUCCEED!
Saying these statements aloud to my wife renewed my conviction and confidence that IT WILL HAPPEN! Napoleon Hill said in his book Think and Grow Rich,
“Before success comes in any man’s life, he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat, and perhaps some failure. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That is exactly what the majority of men do.”
Even though I’m not there yet, I WILL BE. I have the faith, belief, and desire to make it happen! Now don’t get me wrong, this last year, I have made more money with my home-based business than I ever had before…
…just thought it would be a lot more!
So the next morning, I’m on the morning mindset call right? We just started reading and discussing the book Think and Grow Rich again. The host read the introduction and the story of an uncle R.U. Darby and 3 feet from gold.
You have probably heard the story before…
…but in a nutshell, an uncle of R. U. Darby was caught by the “gold fever” in the gold-rush days, and went west to dig and grow rich. He staked a claim and went to work with a pick and shovel. The going was hard, but his lust for gold was definite.
After weeks, he discovered the shining ore. Quietly covered the mine, went back home and told his relatives and a few neighbors of the “strike.” Together, they got the money to buy the needed machinery to harvest the gold from the earth.
The first car of ore was mined, shipped to a smelter and proved they had one of the richest mines in Colorado! Soon all debts would be paid and he’d be rich! But something happened, the vein of gold ran dry! It was gone. They kept digging and digging desperately trying to pick up the vein again…
…all to no avail. Finally, the decided to quit. They gave up.
They sold the machinery to a “junk” man for a few hundred bucks and took the train back home. This “junk” man was smart. He called in a mining engineer to look at the mine and do a little calculating. The engineer advised that the project had failed, because the owners were not familiar with “fault lines.” His calculations showed that the vein would be found just three feet from where the Darby’s had stopped drilling!
That is exactly where it was found!
The “junk” man took millions of dollars in ore from the mine because he knew enough to seek expert counsel before giving up.
Hearing this story on the call and the discussion that followed was the universe aligning itself with me to NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER! It gave me the necessary motivation to put away my discouragement and press on with following the steps outlined by my “expert counsel” of prosperity practitioners!
Whatever your hopes, dreams, goals, and desires…NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER! We all have the power within ourselves and within our minds to have and be whatever and whomever we want!
We choose for ourselves the destiny of our own minds.
